Student Fundraiser For David's Place Comes With A Cost To School Staff
Students raised enough funds to make principal and P.E. teacher wear rival teams fan gear.

Ledyard Middle School students may not have needed incentive to raise $2,604.08 for but it didn't hurt. Principal Joseph Chella and physical education teacher Fred Tremalgia promised students at the beginning of the coin drive that they'd don fan gear for a full day of school if the students raised more than $1,500. Students dropped their spare change into cans for the month of March and on Thursday, Chella was seen wearing a Yankees shirt and hat while Tremalgia were seen wearing and Red Sox jersey, hat and lanyard.
