Town Considers Selling Gales Ferry Landing

Ledyard officials are considering selling the Gales Ferry landing to a Southington-based firm.

LEDYARD, CT - Ledyard officials are considering selling the Gales Ferry landing to a Southington-based firm, the New London Day reported. The property is a former elementary school that was transformed into a business incubator.

Florian Properties LLC has made an offer to buy the Hurlbutt Road property, according to the New London Day. The company is one of two to do so. (To sign up for Ledyard breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The 20,000-square-foot building and 3.3 acres of land are valued at $582,260, the New London Day reported. Though the price of Florian's offer has not been disclosed, the sale would have to be approved at a town meeting by residents.
