Town Council Member Steppping Down In Ledyard: Report
He is stepping down from his position and will soon be deployed for duty as a National Guard chaplain.

LEDYARD, CT — A member of the Ledyard Town Council announced Wednesday he will be stepping down from his position this month as he will soon be deployed for duty as a National Guard chaplain, the New London Day reported.
According to the Day, Republican member Steve Eichelberg said he would be leaving next month with a National Guard unit and would be gone for up to a year. He will officially resign on Aug. 30, and town officials are seeking possible nominees to serve the remainder of his term.
