Two Injured in Shooting at House Party in Ledyard: Police
BREAKING: Two people were injured in the shooting in Ledyard but said to have non-life threatening injuries.

LEDYARD, CT — Two people were injured in a shooting at a house party in Ledyard early Saturday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.
According to police, two victims suffering from gunshot wounds walked into the emergency room at Backus Hospital in Norwich around 2:30 a.m. A 24-year-old female had a gunshot wound to her left hand and 21-year-old-male had a gunshot wound to his right shoulder.
The investigation led police to a crime scene at a private residence on Shewville Road of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation in Ledyard, police said. Citing witness accounts, police said there was a large party in the basement of the house that resulted in a disturbance between partygoers.

An unknown male brandished a semi-automatic weapon and fired one round which went through the female’s hand and into the male’s shoulder, police said. The injuries were not described as life threatening.
The shooting remains under investigation by Detective Silvestri and any information about the crime can be reported to 860-848- 6566.
