Waterford Man Charged In Ledyard With DUI, Drug Possession: Police
A Waterford man was arrested Friday on accusations of driving under the influence and drug possession.
LEDYARD, CT — A Waterford man was arrested Friday on accusations of driving under the influence and drug possession. He was charged with illegal possession of narcotics, refusing to submit to fingerprints, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, speeding, and other charges.
Ledyard police were conducting traffic enforcement on Route 12 in Gales Ferry. An officer pulled over the man's vehicle at the Preston border as he was traveling at 80 mph, according to police.
The man failed a field sobriety test and was arrested, police said. While checking him, police said they found narcotics. He "became uncooperative and refused to be fingerprinted," according to police.

He was held on $10,000 cash/surety bond.
