Wild Weather Forecast for Ledyard

Pack your umbrella for Tuesday, Oct. 7, through Wednesday, Oct. 8.

For those planning on going outside to look at the blood moon lunar eclipse, you’re going to want to bring your umbrella. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for the area.

  • Tuesday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 9 a.m., then a chance of showers between 9am and 10am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 74. Southwest wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. West wind 6 to 8 mph.
  • Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 64. West wind 5 to 11 mph.
