On Saturday night, November 7th from 6-8pm, there will be a wine and beer tasting event at the Gales Ferry Firehouse to benefit the Ledyard High School Chamber Choir. The students are trying to raise money for a trip to Europe next Spring. They hope to visit Vienna, Budapest and Prague. The tasting is just one of the many fundraisers trying to help defray the expenses involved.
The event will feature over a dozen exhibitors with each sampling 2 to 4 wines, beers and spirits. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased in advance at O’Connor’s Wine Cellar at 1598 Route 12 in Gales Ferry. Tickets can also be purchased from fundraising committee members and at the door.
