Woman Charged With DUI In Ledyard: Police
Police charged a woman with DUI over the weekend.
LEDYARD, CT — A Preston woman was charged with driving drunk over the weekend, according to police. Police observed Taylar Daggett, 23, driving with her car's headlights illuminated at 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
She was also swerving back and forth on the road and nearly struck the curb on the right shoulder of Colonel Ledyard Highway, according to police.
Police stopped her car and found that Daggett had "an odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath..." She then failed a field sobriety test, police said.

Daggett was transported to Ledyard Police Department and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to drive right, and failure to have lights illuminated. She was released on $500 and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on June 28.
