Woman Sentenced for Embezzlement Faces More Possible Jail Time for Gambling at Foxwoods

Authorities said she has violated her release conditions by gambling at a casino.

LEDYARD, CT -- A woman who served time in prison for embezzling millions of dollars is facing more possible jail time for violating her release conditions by gambling at Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Journal Inquirer reported.

Patricia Baddeley (formerly Baddeley-Meehan) was sentenced in 2010 to more than three years in federal prison for crimes stemming from embezzlement of $1.7 million from the South Windsor law firm Berman & Russo, where she worked as a paralegal, the Journal Inquirer reported.

Baddeley was found to have used her player’s card at Foxwoods Resort Casino on approximately 10 occasions in 2014 and the day after her most recent federal court appearance in Feb. 2015, according to the Journal Inquirer.

She is suspected of gambling a number of other times as well, her winnings since release total about $51,000, and will appear in court Thursday for a hearing on the matter.
