2 Dead Deer Found On I-95 In Madison

State biologists put out a warning statewide warning a few weeks ago, that it is mating season for deer, moose and other animals.

MADISON, CT – Drivers on Interstate 95 Southbound got a grim reminder Wednesday morning that Connecticut is smack in the middle of deer mating season.

Two dead deer were on the side of Interstate 95 about 11 a.m. on Wednesday within a half-mile of each between exits 61 and 60.

Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) biologists put out a warning statewide warning a few weeks ago, that it is mating season for deer, moose and other animals.

Biologists warn if you see one deer by the side of the road, there are others because they always travel in herds.

Another thing to keep in mind, DEEP says don’t be fooled while traveling through cities or heavily populated areas. The deer are thick across Connecticut.
