$50,000 Winning Lottery Scratch Ticket Bought in Madison
The ticket was bought by an East Haven resident.

EAST HAVEN, CT - Local resident Jody Dietrich, who received a scratch ticket from her husband, Art, is the CT Lottery's latest winner of $50,000 in the "5X The Money 8th Edition" game, lottery officials announced.
Art bought the ticket in Madison at the Cumberland Farms #4735 store on the Boston Post Road, and when Jody showed him the winning ticket, he first thought it was for a lot less money.
“At first I thought it was a $50 prize, but then there were too many zeros," he said in a statement. "That’s when I put my glasses on and saw it was $50,000.”
