Still many left without power in Connecticut
Along with Madison, Clinton and Guilford look like they are all set. But there are still about 44 folks in Durham without power, and three in Killingworth. Malloy said he hoped the update will allow cities and towns across the state to more accurately plan for sheltering and warming centers, school schedules and give their residents more accurate restoration information.

“The closer we got to CL&P’s self-identified goal of 99% restoration in each city and town by midnight tonight, the more skeptical I became of their ability to meet that goal,” said Gov. Malloy. “It’s now clear they are not going to meet their goal – and I’ll have more to say about that."
“I’m releasing this information because towns and cities need to make preparations based on the reality of the situation – not what CL&P hopes to have happen -- and residents need to make individual decisions about what to do over the next few days.”
Generous discounts to storm refugees
In the meantime, Scranton Seahorse Inn Owner Mike Hafford said he plans to offer generous discounts to storm refugees. He's had quite a few people take him up on the offer, and he said he's enjoyed having them. "I had people from Vernon, Danbury, Guilford, Madison, so I've had them from all over," he said Sunday.
He said he saw the Tripadvisor recommendation and he remembers that customer. "We had their dog, a great dane. That same night we had a basset hound, and two shih tzus. And a two-year-old girl!"
