A Stylish Spring At The Madison Fashion Affair

When you turn the calendar page to April, you'll have that new look for the new month and new season if you attend the first Madison Fashion Affair the night before at Madison Art Cinemas. On Thursday, March 31 the Madison Chamber of Commerce teams up with its fashion members to present a high style event benefitting the Chamber’s Scholarship program.

"I think it is the Events committee's best effort yet!" says Jolie Boutique's Carlene Weis, one of the members showing at the affair.

"We will have a signature drink in orange (Bellini's) since this season's hottest color is orange," Weis said.

"We will have a 'swag bag' for every attendee," she added. 

The swag bag, she explains, is a jute tote bag with the Madison logo, decorated with orange ribbons, and filled with coupons. 

Weis will show a prom gown as well as fashions in the season's hottest colors of orange and sand.  

Ana Mia's will have two adult models, who are also employees, wearing "the season's hottest shoes," says Christine Perrelli. "They will also be wearing our popular spring-weight cotton cable wraps and gorgeous bags from Vineyard Vines," she adds.

Ana Mia's will also have a child sporting cute kids shoes.

Andrea Hutton, one of the owners of Given, says at least one of their chocolate-themed t-shirts will be shown. There will also be a custom necklace handmade by Susan Roberts.

The Country Shop of Madison's Kim Celotto said, "It's going to be all spring clothing." One employee and one good customer will model.

Ciao Bella  Moda International's Janice Briguglio said she "would like to keep people in suspense to what they will be seeing."

She would say, however, "We have two fabulous models to represent more of our spring collection!"

According to the release, this high style event "will kick off the evening at 5 p.m. with a signature cocktail and hors d’oeuvres as guests peruse the silent auction. Attendees will then be guided into the theater to catch a glimpse of Spring fashions as models display clothes and accessories available at local Madison retailers and Chamber members. After mingling with models and friends, guests will then leave with a goodie bag full of exclusive coupons and certificates for use at select merchants around town."

The event is sponsored by Asiye’s Boutique, Essex Savings Bank, Madison Beach Hotel, Merrilee Shannon,CPA, Christie's-affiliate Page Taft Real Estate, Spirits of Madison and the Timothy Pamment Salon.
