Air Quality Alert Issued for Madison Wednesday
There is another chance for rain later in the week but the updated Fourth of July holiday weekend forecast includes some good news.

The National Weather Service has issued an "Air Quality Alert" for Wednesday, which runs from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has issued the Air Quality Action day for all of southern New Haven county including Milford, Orange, West Haven, New Haven, East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and Madison.
What this means is that the "ozone within the region may approach of exceed unhealthy standards for the most sensitive groups," according to the National Weather Service.

As for the forecast, a chance of some showers and thunderstorms in the overnight hours but clearing out as the sun returns on Wednesday with temps in the low 80s.

There is another slight chance of rain on Friday but after that we're now looking at a glorious Independence Day forecast with sunny skies on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with temps in the low 80s.
This updated holiday weekend forecast is a bit of a chance from Monday, as we'll see more sun than originally expected this weekend.
