OLD SAYBROOK, CT - The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, “the Kate”, welcomes Alex Shillo’s tribute to Bruce Springsteen on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 8:00 pm.
Alex Shillo is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter and one of his many influences is The Boss. He's not an impersonator, he's a talented musician that loves playing Bruce's great music and he will also be showcasing some of his own original songs.
Alex was raised in Manchester, Connecticut, but the young singer-songwriter is as worldly as most. Alex has a musical family background; his father Carl Shillo is the founder/leader of the national act Silverado, which had success on the Billboard charts and toured the world with Steppenwolf and many others in the 1970s and 1980s. His dad’s influence, and his hero Bruce Springsteen’s, show in his eclectic brand of rock and country music.
