Madison District 1 Polling Place Changed For 2026 Due to Polson School Construction

The temporary change affects all 2026 elections, including the upcoming budget referendum, August primary and November general.

MADISON, CT — Madison District 1 voters will use a different polling place for all 2026 elections and referenda because of construction at Polson Middle School, according to a notice from the Town of Madison Registrar of Voters.

Officials said District 1 voting will take place at the Madison Senior Center, 29 Bradley Road. Voters who normally cast ballots at Polson Middle School must go to the Senior Center instead.

The temporary change applies to every 2026 voting date, including the April 28 budget referendum, the August primary and the November general election.

"Due to construction at Polson Middle School, District 1 voting will take place at the Madison Senior Center, located at 29 Bradley Road," officials wrote in a statement. "If you normally vote at Polson Middle School, you must go to the Madison Senior Center to cast your vote."

The change does not affect District 2 voters, who will continue to vote at Brown Intermediate School. Additionally, absentee and early voting options will remain the same.

Voters who are unsure of their district or have questions can contact the Registrar of Voters by email at registrar@madisonct.org.

The town encouraged residents to check their voting location before heading to the polls and to plan ahead for the 2026 election calendar.
