$20,000 Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Madison

The lucky winner collected the prize this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

MADISON, CT — An unnamed Bridgeport resident is $20,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket that was purchased in Madison, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Tuesday, the person claimed a winning 20X Cash 10th Edition ticket that was bought at the Alltown Madison East store in the eastbound rest stop on I-95 between exits 61 and 62.

The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners' names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.

The game, which costs $20 per ticket, began in May, and as of Wednesday, 129 grand prizes of $20,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 2.8 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.
