Several Vehicles Burglarized In Madison: Police

MADISON, CT — Madison police are investigating after several unlocked vehicles were burglarized Thursday night, officials said.

"Patrol officers located individuals believed to be involved, but they fled when officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop," officials wrote on Facebook. "The investigation remains ongoing."

Where the vehicles were located, what was taken, and other details were not disclosed.

The department warned residents to be vigilant in protecting their belongings.

"Please remember to lock your vehicle every time, remove valuables from plain view, and take your keys and key fob with you," officials said. "Most vehicle break-ins are crimes of opportunity. Do not make it easy."
