MADISON, CT — Madison Beach Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton was recently named one of the top 10 waterfront hotels in the U.S., according to a new ranking by USA Today.
The honor marks the Madison-based hotel's second consecutive year to make the list, and is the only Connecticut hotel in the ranking.
"Overlooking the Long Island Sound, Madison Beach Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton is an elegant spa resort that features a private beach with open-air concerts in the summertime, as well as a casual fine dining outlet serving traditional New England fare with an award-winning farm-to-table menu," the ranking reads.
The hotel dates back to the early 1800s, and overlooks Long Island Sound. It was once a boarding house for workers at Hoyt's Shipyard in Madison.
"Elegant balcony rooms offer chaise lounges, and the gorgeous two-bedroom suites boast wraparound balconies with views of the Sound, as well as full kitchens and soaking tubs, perfect for extended stays," the ranking reads.
