MADISON, CT — An unnamed Madison resident is $100,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On Friday, the person claimed a winning CASH5 ticket that was bought at East River Package on Boston Post Road.
The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners' names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.
The daily game, which costs $1 per play, has grand prizes of $100,000.
Overall odds of winning vary, but the odds of winning a grand prize — matching all five numbers — is 1 in 324,632.
