Plant Dye Workshop at Bauer Park

Instructor and Master Gardener, Dee Rapposelli returns to do a Plant Dye Workshop at Bauer Park. This is a follow-up to the Summer Plant Dye demonstration but is open to anyone interested. The workshop will give an overview/refresher on preparation of fiber for plant dyes. Participants will cook up 4 small batches of dyes from plants harvested at Bauer Park, which may include plants from the Madison Garden Club's new installation of dye plants in the Bauer Gardens. Participants will dye small hanks of wool and other natural fiber. An "eco-dye" experiment is also planned. Class is Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 9am to noon. Held at the Bauer Park classroom building at Bauer Park on Copse Road. Pre-Registration is required by calling the Madison Beach and Recreation Department at 203-245-5623. Cost is $32 per person.
