MADISON, CT — The 40th annual Dave Parcells Madison Triathlon, hosted by the Madison Jaycees CT, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Madison Surf Club.
The race includes a .5 mile swim, 3-mile run and 13-mile bike ride.
It begins at 7 a.m., but both Surf Club Road and West Wharf Road will be closed from 6 a.m. to noon, which is when the race is expected to end.
"There will be no access to the entire Surf Club Complex (Nelson Fields, Strong Field, beaches, etc.) or the Exchange Field Complex until the race concludes," First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons wrote in a recent community update.
