Madison Seeks Public Input On Preliminary Surf Club Concept Plan

Madison residents can weigh in on a preliminary concept plan for the Surf Club through an online survey.

MADISON, CT — Madison is seeking public feedback on a preliminary concept plan for the Surf Club as the town continues planning for the future of the facility.

In fall 2025, the Board of Selectmen, in consultation with the Beach & Recreation Commission, began working with Kent & Frost Landscape Architects to develop a master plan for the Surf Club. The planning effort covers the facility's beaches, buildings, athletic fields and other amenities and is intended to examine current and future needs and uses for the park.

The process so far has included a site analysis, public input workshops, surveys and public meetings.

The town also held a public information session at Neck River Elementary to review a proposed concept plan for the park.

Madison is now seeking additional public feedback on the preliminary plan as it moves through the design process.

Residents can complete the Surf Club Concept Plan survey through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 18.
