MADISON, CT — Madison officials are seeking additional public feedback on a proposed master plan for Surf Club Park, with residents having until Sunday, Oct. 18, to complete a survey.

The town's Board of Selectmen, in consultation with the Beach & Recreation Commission, began working with Kent & Frost Landscape Architects in fall 2025 to develop a master plan for the entire Surf Club facility.

The planning process covers the park's beaches, buildings, athletic fields and other amenities, with the goal of evaluating current and future community needs and uses.

The process has included site analysis, public workshops, surveys and public meetings. A public information session was also held at Neck River Elementary School to review a proposed concept plan for the park.

Town officials said the concept plan represents the first step in the design process, and additional public input will help guide its development.

Town staff and the consulting firm have developed a second survey to gather residents' feedback.

The survey is available through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, and can be completed online or using a paper copy.

Paper surveys are available at the Madison library, Senior Center and Surf Club. Residents can also complete the online survey here.

Each resident may submit only one survey.

Additional information about the Surf Club Master Plan, including a recording of the public information session, the presentation and previous planning documents, is available on the town's website
