MADISON, CT — The Madison Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to continue a public hearing Thursday on a proposal to build 18 detached single-family homes on Mill Road.
The proposal, submitted by property owner SWPG River Road LLC, calls for a small, single-family cluster development on a property identified as Map 42, Lot 3, in an R-1 residential zone.
The application seeks approval of a coastal site plan and a special exception under Sections 4.4L and 4.12 of the town's zoning regulations.
In addition to the 18 residences, the proposed development would include a private road and associated improvements for access, utilities, subsurface sewage disposal systems and stormwater management.
The public hearing is a continuation of proceedings from the commission's Sept. 17 meeting.
The commission also has two subdivision applications listed as pending business.
At 19 Advent Hill Road, property owners Charles Ponzo and Theresa P. Ponzo, trustees of the 1992 Charles Ponzo and Theresa P. Ponzo Revocable Trust, have submitted an application to re-subdivide Lot 4 of the Advent Hill subdivision. The public hearing on that application has been continued to Nov. 5.
At 537 Summer Hill Road, property owners Alan P. Campbell and Cheryl Campbell are seeking approval to re-subdivide their property to create an additional lot. The commission is scheduled to set a public hearing on that application for Nov. 19.
The commission's agenda also includes approval of minutes from its Oct. 1 meeting and remarks from the commission chair and town planner.
