'Davis Dollars' rewards residents, stimulates local business

Madison property owner Davis Realty LLC has an innovative offering for the holiday season: “Davis Dollars.”

Residents of the firm’s Clippership Row and other apartments are receiving certificates worth $10 at local businesses that rent from Davis Realty—including Asiye’s Dress Shop, Madison Arts Cinema, Madison Coffee Shop, Silver Moon, Headhunters Hair Salon, Madison Academy of Martial Arts, Coastal Cleaners and Artistic Sign Language. 

“Our goal is to put our Madison business clients first, especially when it comes to the holidays,” said Davis Realty managing partner Jerry Davis.

A family-owned company, Davis Realty has always given annual thank you gifts to its apartment residents. “Our guiding principle is to buy local whenever possible when we need goods and services,” Davis explained.

“This year we are introducing Davis Dollars as a way to thank our tenants, bring new customers to our business tenants, and encourage spending within our community. Plus, when it comes to clothing, gifts, entertainment, services and good food, Madison can’t be beat," he said. 

During the holiday season and through March, Clippership Row residents can go to any participating businesses and use Davis Dollars for purchases. Clippership Row, located steps from downtown on the Boston Post Road, features high-quality one bedroom apartments named to honor Madison's 18th and 19th century seafaring past.
