Annual WALK for Vista Fundraiser Nets $50K

Proceeds benefit Vista's programs and services for individuals with disabilities

More than 300 people walked with a purpose in Madison on Oct. 28 during the annual WALK for Vista fundraiser to benefit Vista Life Innovations, a community-based organization dedicated to supporting the personal success of individuals with disabilities.

This year’s WALK stands to net nearly $50,000. Proceeds from the WALK benefit the programs and services of Vista as well as the Ed Gallant Financial Aid Fund, which provides scholarship opportunities to students and members in Vista’s programs.

More than just a fundraiser, the WALK is a family-friendly community event that helps to raise awareness of Vista’s mission. Among the 27 fundraising teams that participated were community groups and organizations, including the Clinton Police Department, Penny Lane Pub, and Valley Shore YMCA—who also lead a spirited pre-walk warm up.
