The Art of Song, A Songwriting Workshop with Belle of the Falls own Tracy Walton and Julia Autumn Ford
If you want to learn how to write songs and you want to learn from someone with a lot of experience, this is the place to be this summer!

Madison Beach and Recreation is offering a unique songwriting camp for kids this summer. This 4 day camp focuses on using songwriting as a means to bring kids together through music. It focuses on creativity and teamwork in a group setting. No musical knowledge or experience is required. Participants will practice writing lyrics over a variety of song forms. We will set these lyrics to music as a group. Songwriting is a great way to open up an individuals sense of creativity and self expression. We will also work on writing harmony vocals. Our goal will be to write a song per day. Kids will come away with a recording of the 4 songs that they co-write. "The Art of Song", Featuring Belle of the Falls very own Tracy Walton and Julia Autumn Ford, is being offered in conjunction with Aim for a Better Tomorrow. This unique duo has been traveling and performing up and down the East Coast, locally and all the way to Nashville. Tracy Walton also owns On Deck Sound Studio and has many years of songwriting, producing, and teaching experience. He also plays an awesome bass. Check out their website at www.belleofthefall.com and learn more about these two artists and their experience. Bring a water bottle and pen and paper. Held at the Surf Club Main Room from June 26 to June 29 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon each day. For kids ages 6 to 17 and the fee is $96. Non-residents will pay an extra $10.
