ASAP Urgent Care Promotes Tina LaRiviere to Regional Director of Operations

ASAP Urgent Care, New England’s fastest growing urgent care provider, has promoted Tina LaRiviere of Waterbury to Regional Director of Operations.  LaRiviere has been instrumental in the creation of ASAP Urgent Care, getting all four Connecticut centers up and running in less than 12 months.

“It is an absolute pleasure to work with Tina on projects of all shapes and sizes,” says ASAP Urgent Care CEO Traver Hutchins.  “Her professionalism and dedication to making ASAP great is unmatched.”

LaRiviere has 25 years of experience in healthcare and healthcare administration.  She began her career in emergency medical services as an emergency medical technician and a 911 dispatcher.  She has held practice manager positions with a multi-practitioner internal medicine group, multi-specialty surgical group, and a nephrology and hypertension practice.  Having participated in several urgent care start-ups, LaRiviere is well versed in all facets of the business.  She serves on the medical advisory board at Stone Academy and is an associate instructor for the medical assisting program.

In addition, LaRiviere is a nationally certified phlebotomist, AAPC certified medical coder, blood alcohol technician, and instructor.  She is certified in HIPAA awareness for healthcare providers, and has successfully transitioned several medical practices from paper systems to electronic systems.  As the regional director of operations for ASAP Urgent Care, LaRiviere is committed to enabling the staff to provide the highest quality medical care.

“When I accepted a position with ASAP Urgent Care in May of 2013, I not only re-entered the urgent care arena but also took a leap of faith with a new company, a brand daring to redefine what urgent care looks and feels like,” says LaRiviere.  “From bare concrete walls and metal framing to state of the art treatment rooms and comfortable lounges, spearheading ASAP’s entrance into Connecticut over the last year has been a remarkably gratifying experience on both a personnel and professional level.”
