MADISON, CT — A bear was reportedly spotted last week in the Kelsey Springs Drive area in Madison, according to police.

"Residents are advised to remain alert, keep pets close, and supervise children while outdoors, Madison police wrote on Facebook.

"Please do not approach or feed the bear," Madison police officials said. "Secure garbage, pet food, bird feeders, and other potential food sources. Give the bear plenty of space and allow it to move away on its own."
