Bear Sightings Recently on the Madison/Guilford Line
Officials urge residents to take precautions to try and ensure bears will not come onto their property.

MADISON, CT — Madison officials via social media said that there have been bear sightings on the Madison and Guilford line recently.
Officials said the bear sightings have been in the marshes surrounding East River.
"Please remove any/all food sources from your property (pet food, bird feeders, garbage cans). Everyone will be upset if DE(E)P needs to euthanize another bear like they did a couple years ago," Madison officials said.
