Board of Selectmen Approve Two Ad-Hoc Study Committees

Want to have a say in Madison's future? Apply for committees that will study different forms of government and Island Avenue School uses.

MADISON, CT — The Board of Selectmen Monday approved two ad-hoc committees; one to study different forms of government and recommend possible changes to Madison’s government structure and the other to research the possible future use of the Island Avenue School.

The Ad-Hoc Government study Committee will "run in advance of the formal establishment of the Charter Review Committee," the town said.

A copy of the committee's full charge can be found here. For residents interested in serving on the committees, applications are due by Friday, Dec. 27. The Board of Selectmen will review all applications received and will appoint the members.
