Bulky Waste Facility's Operations Being Scaled Back in Madison

The change will go into effect in April.

Madison officials want to be clear, they are not closing the bulky trash site, but they are planning to scale back its operations from five days a week to three days a week, reports Jack Kramer of the Madison Source.

The facility located at the end of Ridge Road north of Green Hill Road will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning in April.

Residents as they can now, can continue to use the Guilford dump on the Boston Post Road five days a week, Kramer reports.

Madison officials believe it’s prudent to use the bulky trash facility for weeds and brush and to recycle in Guilford.
