Eight Takes on Realism brings together eight nationally recognized painters whose work celebrates the enduring tradition of realism while revealing the individuality of each artist’s vision. Never before exhibited together as a group, they bring exceptional technical skill, unique points of view, and a remarkable range of approaches to contemporary realism. The exhibition includes luminous coastal landscapes and nocturnes, marsh landscapes that reveal the quiet beauty of nature, masterfully detailed snow scenes, meticulously rendered still lifes, and street scenes that convey the energy of urban life. Through eight different perspectives, these paintings explore light, reflection, atmosphere, color, mood, and place.
Join us on Friday, August 21, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm for the opening reception. Participating artists are Del-Bourree Bach, Paul Beebe, Zufar Bikbov, Vincent Giarrano, Marc R. Hanson, Jonathan McPhillips, Cora Ogden, and Deborah Quinn-Munson. The exhibition continues through September 26.
