Concert On The Green Moved To Monday, July 4
Madison Cultural Arts Concert featuring the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra, originally scheduled for Saturday, will happen, but on Monday.
MADISON, CT —The Madison Cultural Arts Concert on the Green originally scheduled for Saturday, has been moved to its rain date of Monday, July 4 at 6 p.m. due to the "high likelihood of rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening."
And, because the town's annual Independence Day Parade will take place in the morning, "we are asking those who would normally come early to stake out your spot for the concert, to delay your arrival until 1 p.m.," organizers said. Local traffic around the Green will be not allowed before then, it was noted.
The Wallingford Symphony Orchestra plays at 6 p.m. The Orchestra is in its 47th season. Performances under the baton of Music Director Philip T. Ventre.
