Connecticut Film Festival Workshops Offered Saturday

CTFF has assembled four of the finest creative professionals in our area to cover creative writing for 30 to 60 second spots, casting and directing actors, producing web and television commercials, and leveraging social media marketing.

9:15am - Get Creative With Your 30 Second Scripts with Peter Fox, screenwriting coach and consultant from the Inside Track Screenwriting Workshops. In 75 minutes, Peter will help you get organized and run you through several exercises to show you how to write creatively for commercials in your new career.           

10:45am - Casting & Directing Actors For Commercials with Reno Venturi, acting coach and casting agent from The Actors Gym. Reno will walk you through the steps using different scenarios to cast, direct and get the most out of your actors in 30 and 60 second spots. Actors are welcome!

12:15pm - Commercial Production Company Start Up For Web & Television with Brendan Major and Paul Rivot of Imagimind Studios, a Connecticut based creative group specializing in commercial advertising, branding and viral video concepts using the latest technology in 3D Animation. ImagimindStudios.com. Paul M. Rivot is a 3D Animation and special effects expert. Paul is a graduate of the Animation Mentor School of California, where he studied under artists from Pixar and Disney. He also studied 3D Modeling and Video Production at NYU. Paul is a former US Marine who served on the front lines in the Iraq War. Brendan Major is a business development and marketing expert who studied Business Marketing at Manhattan College. Brendan has worked some of the worlds most recognized brands including MTV, Red Bull and American Express.

In this fast paced session, Brendan and Paul will lay it all out, step by step, how to get organized and launch your own production company.

1:30pm - Mixing Social Media With Your Digital Content Spells Success with social media marketing Diva: Maria Miranda from Miranda Creative, a social media marketing community of art directors, designers, web developers/programmers and administrators who nurture hundreds of clients and manage millions in marketing and media budgets annually.  Maria Miranda will help ice the cake with your newfound knowledge and realize the potential of integrating social media and viral video marketing.
