Daniel Hand Girls Swim Team Are State Champs
This is the first State Championship ever won by the Hand girls varsity swim team.

From Madison Schools:Daniel Hand Girls Varsity Swim team made history on November 13th by winning the CIAC Class M State Championship defeating 21 other teams.
This is the first State Championship ever won by the Hand girls varsity swim team.
Lead by head coach Jen Lyman and assistant coach Christina Forristall
thirteen Hand swimmers qualified to compete in the Class M State Championships. They are
Senior co-captains- Sammy Tuveson and Gabby Wira; Juniors- Kayla Mendonca, Ruby Redlich, Erin Reilly;

Sophomores-Alexa Betts, Sophie Cadematori, Ava Dougherty, Ava Keane and Emma Ruffo; Freshmen- Catherine Arrandale, Abbi Chemacki and Kacie Wines.
Incredible swimming was done by all 13 girls contributing to this historic win. The 2018 Class M individual event champions are Kayla Mendonca winning the 100 yard Backstroke and the
4x100 Freestyle relay team of Ruby Redlich, Erin Reilly, Ava Keane and Kayla Mendonca.
