Daniel Hand High School Practices Lockdown Drill
It was just a practice drill, there was no threat.

A practice lockdown drill was held at Daniel Hand High School Wednesday morning. Officials said the drill was announced before it began, and officials added that it was a success and classes have resumed.
Superintendent of Schools Thomas Scarice said by law school officials are required to hold a fire drill every month, but can substitute it for a number of different type of drills to ensure a level of safety in the schools.
He said officials can specifically practice health incidents, or more serious outside threats.
