Deadline Approaches To Apply For Rent Rebate Program In Madison

MADISON, CT — The deadline to apply for the Rent Rebate Program in Madison is Sept. 30, according to Madison Senior Services.

The program offers financial assistance to help offset rental expenses for eligible participants. To be eligible, a participant must be 65 years old or older or disabled.

Documentation of 2025 income, such as from income tax forms, if filed, and payments made in 2025 for rent, heating, water bills, and electricity, are required to apply.

The Sept. 30 application deadline no longer has a provision to request an extension of time to file due to medical conditions.

For 2025, Maximum Annual Income for a single person is $46,300, and for couples it is $56,500.
