DHHS Vibe Show Choir Gets $15K Invest in Madison Grant

The Ad-Hoc American Rescue Plan Funding Committee chose awardees for their dedication to improving, helping community recover from pandemic.

MADISON, CT — Daniel Hand High School’s VIBE Show Choir was awarded a $15,000 Invest in Madison grant. According to the school, grant recipients were selected by the Ad-Hoc American Rescue Plan Funding Committee based on their dedication to improving the community and helping the community recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a story posted on the school's website, VIBE choir director Ron Soja said the funding would be used for "team building and hosting the annual show choir competition."

He was quoted as saying the choir hasn't hosted the annual competition called the CTClassic since March 2020, the very beginning of the pandemic.

“This grant will certainly help in getting us back on our feet and ready to welcome schools from across the country to compete at Daniel Hand,"Soja was quoted as saying.
