Did Madison Residents Pick Trump or Clinton for President?

Full election results and numbers were released for all races that Madison residents voted on.

MADISON, CT — On Election Night in Madison residents preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump by a margin of 5,935 to 4,500.

Clinton earned 54.3 percent of the vote in Madison, Trump received 41.2 percent, while Gary Johnson earned 333 or 3 percent of the votes and Jill Stein received 120 votes or 1 percent.

In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed on multiple lines 5,896 and 384 votes and his opponent Dan Carter, a Republican, received 4,304 votes. Blumenthal earned 58 percent of the vote in Madison.

For United States Congress Incumbent Joseph Courtney, a Democrat, received 5,619 and 321 votes on multiple voting lines in Madison, and Daria Novak, a Republican, received 4,487 votes in Madison. Courtney received 56 percent of the vote and Novak earned 42 percent.

In Madison, for 12th Senatorial District Democrat Edward Kennedy Jr. earned 5,533 and 325 votes on multiple lines, and Republican candidate Bruce Wilson Jr. received 4,682 and 157 votes on multiple lines. Kennedy received 55 percent of the vote. Kennedy earned a second-term. Wilson is a Madison resident.

In the 101st State House District Republican Noreen K. Kokoruda ran unopposed and earned 7,061 and 1,108 votes on multiple lines. She is completing her third term.

Democrat William B. Gowanlock earned 4,330 votes and Republican Peter Metz received 5,977 votes for registrar of voters.
