E-Cigarette Use On The Rise Among Madison Youths: Report

School officials are taking a proactive stance to address the growing epidemic.

MADISON, CT — Daniel Hand High School Principal Anthony Salutari has confiscated numerous e-cigarette devices that have become popular with students. The issue is definitely not unique to Madison, it's a problem everywhere, but in Madison school officials and members of the Madison Youth & Family Service are working to be proactive and address the issue, the Madison Source reports.

If a Daniel Hand student is caught with an e-cigarette the punishment consequences are not major, but officials are working to educate students and parents about the dangers. Student-athletes caught with e-cigarettes won't play in games, the Madison Source reports.
