Essentrics® Stretch and Tone is a medium-paced full body workout that rapidly changes the shape of your body by simultaneously stretching and strengthening all your muscles. The technique develops strong, lean, flexible muscles using your own body weight for resistance, with immediate benefits to your posture. Taught by Rebecca Armstrong, a certified Essentrics® Instructor, this sculpting workout will increase flexibility and mobility for a healthy, toned and pain-free body. Please bring a mat, towel and a bottle of water. All Essentrics® workouts are done barefoot. Essentrics® was developed by Miranda Esmonde-White, a professionally trained ballet dancer and the host of PBS's popular Classical Stretch program. Essentrics® draws inspiration from the flowing, circular movements of Tai Chi, the strengthening theories of ballet and the healing principles of physiotherapy, and works through the muscle chains to increase strength, flexibility and mobility. Held at the Town Campus Dance Studio. Bring a mat, towel and water bottle.
