The Shoreline Jewish Festival - A celebration of Jewish life!

Come join us on the Guilford Green to celebrate Jewish music from around the world, children’s programs, Israeli food, and other fair favorites. Jewish book sale, Israeli and local artists featuring Judaica & Jewish art, crafts for kids and info fair of Jewish groups & organizations. Admission and entertainment is free. David Chevan & the Nu Haven Kapelye. This New Haven-based group joins professional musicians with community members to form New England’s largest klezmer band. Their love of klezmer music produces a rich mix of Balkans and blues, jazz and spirit, prayer and history.

Richard Gans & Shemantra
Shemantra layers traditional Hebrew liturgy with simple melodies, rich digital instrumentation and a strikingly resonant voice to create a new form of music that engages and inspires.

1:40-3:00
Mr. Shabbos
Mr. Shabbos plays a unique mix of Jewish and biblical lyrics with country, bluegrass, rockabilly music.For the young—and the young at heart—Mr. Shabbos leads an interactive sing-along show that is guaranteed to get everyone up on their feet and dancing.


3:15-4:45
Merkavah: the Chasidic New Orleans Funky Jam Band
Electric guitar virtuoso Yerachmiel Altizio leads this band as they play a blend of jam band improvisation and chasidic melodies. This musical experience combines high energy with joyous chasidic expression.


5:00-6:00
The Klezmenschen
Roz Etra leads this “freyliche” big band from the New London area. Their combined brass, strings, and woodwinds play lively traditional Yiddish and Israeli folk melodies for listening and dancing.


12:00-6:00
All Day Festival Activities Festival-goers will be able to
choose from delicious kosher fair favorites. Kids will enjoy inflatable slides, obstacle course and a variety of themed arts and crafts projects. Free admission. Food, crafts, and vendor items are for sale.
