Fatalities Increase To 11, Cases Rise, Largely At Nursing Home

MADISON, CT — First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons reaches out to the community nearly everyday with updates on COVID-19 cases, and other coronavirus updates. It's often a grim task. Like Friday.

"I announce today that Madison has seen another increase in our number of positive COVID-19 cases to a total of 91, and an unfortunate rise in fatalities to 11, primarily due to the difficult situation at a local skilled nursing facility. Our thoughts are with those victims and their families during this difficult time. Some positive news is that out of Madison’s active cases (80), 46 are past the 14-day self-isolation window and fully recovered."
