Free Food? Prizes? A Great Cause? Madison Is So There; 20 Cents From Every Coffee Or Fountain Drink Sold All Month Will Be Donated, So Drink It Up
The grand re-opening of Cumberland Farms in downtown Madison was packed at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, as Daniel Hand High School students, business leaders and politicians showed up to enjoy free food and kick off a month-long fundraiser that could bring in as much as $1,000 for the high school's Nite In Hand celebration.
"This is huge," said a very pleased George Fournier, director of marketing administration for Cumberland Farms, Inc. "This organization (Nite In Hand) is really great to work with. We're very happy with the turnout."
Twenty cents from every coffee and fountain drink sold during the next month will go to support Nite In Hand, a graduation night celebration designed to keep graduating seniors in a space that is fun and safe.
