Friends of Madison Youth at The Barn Youth Center Events For September

'Elf Jr The Musical' auditions will be held, along with 'Crating Television', a program teaching about tv production.

From Madison Arts Barn: Elf Jr The Musical- Auditions

'Elf the Musical Jr.' (with performances on December 8th-9th, 2017) will hold auditions on Sunday, September 17th from 6-8:30 and Monday, September 18th from 3:15-5:15 at the Madison Arts Barn, 8 Campus Drive, Madison. The show features many wonderful roles for singing actors, non-singing actors and featured dancers. Interested performers in grades 5-12 are asked to attend the full audition period to showcase their range of talents (one of the two dates is sufficient, but you may attend both if you prefer). The auditions will feature theatre games, improvisation, readings and vocal auditions. Singers will be tested for range and are asked to prepare approximately 2 minutes of a song that best showcases their voice. Please bring a track with you on a cd, cell phone or mp3. Dancers are asked to perform a 90 second solo in their strongest genre. Callbacks may be required for certain roles, and will be scheduled by the director as necessary. All Connecticut students are welcome and everyone who auditions will be included in the show.
