Gas Prices Drop 4 Cents In A Week
The average price per gallon in Connecticut began to decline but still remains well over $4.

Connecticut gas prices dropped from $4.14 last week to $4.10 this week, according to price tracking website ConnecticutGasPrices.com. The current national average is $3.81 per gallon.
In Madison, gas prices are a little bit all over the place, with some stations charing under $4.00 and others charging more than $4.17, as of early Monday.

“The national average has begun to drop nicely over the last week, and while it certainly doesn't feel like much, it is noteworthy,” said Patrick DeHaan, senior analyst at GasBuddy.com, the parent company of ConnecticutGasPrices.com.
He added, “Oil prices were all over the map last week, closing in on $100/bbl one day and dropping to $92/bbl later in the week. I've probably had more double takes watching oil prices in the last week than I've had all summer.”
