Goodnight Moonshine and Stephen Peter Rodgers to Co-Headline

Goodnight Moonshine and Stephen Peter Rodgers will Co-Headline a Night at the Kate on February 2.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT - The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, “the Kate”, is pleased to welcome Goodnight Moonshine, featuring Molly Venter of Red Molly, with Stephen Peter Rodgers on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 7:30 pm.

Goodnight Moonshine pairs the intimacy and immediacy of the 90's with the sonic explosion of the 60's. Molly Venter (Red Molly) is a viscerally potent singer, à la Fiona Apple and Tracy Chapman, whose songwriting is redemptive and playful. Consummate musician and producer Eben Pariser (Roosevelt Dime) is a devotee of Ray Charles, Wes Montgomery, The Beatles and The Band. Courageous unveiling and depth of experience make the collaboration between married couple Molly Venter and Eben Pariser addictively captivating.

Stephen Peter Rodgers has been one of Connecticut music’s biggest supporters and a member of its fraternity since his days fronting alt-rock act Mighty Purple in the 1990s and early 2000s, and as former owner of The Space / Ballroom and The Outer Space in Hamden. He returns with his newest solo album Speck On A Clover, one that “sees the New Haven singer-songwriter combine his alt-rock roots with a distinct indie-folk perspective, creating something wholly unique in the process” according to Connecticut Magazine.
