Graduation Time Change For Daniel Hand High School
Weather is the reason for the time change, officials said. BREAKING

MADISON, CT — The Class of 2017 Graduation Ceremony was scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on the Green on Monday, June 19th with the final rehearsal at 11:00 a.m. But school officials said in "consultation with our town meteorologist, the weather forecast is predicting rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening."
The meteorologist recommended moving the start time of the ceremony to earlier in the day. As a result, the Graduation Ceremony has been rescheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 19th. The final rehearsal for the Class of 2017 will take place at 9:00 a.m. on the Green.
For those of you celebrating Stepping Forth with your eighth grade child at Polson on the same day, be assured that Stepping Forth will end by 10:30 a.m. leaving time for the transition to the Green for Graduation.
